The Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) was conducted for a duration of 10 days at MIT, Manipal, with the participation of more than 450 NCC cadets from various institutions across the district. Vidyodaya Public School was well represented, with 34 NCC cadets actively participating in the camp.
The school cadets were taken to the camp under the guidance and supervision of Mr. Sunil, Associate NCC Officer (ANO). His dedicated leadership, systematic planning, and constant motivation played a key role in ensuring the discipline, safety, and active involvement of the cadets throughout the camp. His commitment towards nurturing leadership qualities and instilling NCC values among the cadets was evident in their confident participation and commendable conduct.
The camp provided comprehensive training under the guidance of experienced officers. The training schedule included SSCD activities, weapon training, drill, physical training, and a range of personality development programmes aimed at fostering discipline, leadership qualities, and overall character development among the cadets.
Through structured sessions and practical exposure, the cadets gained valuable learning experiences that effectively fulfilled the core objectives of the National Cadet Corps (NCC). The camp played a significant role in building confidence, teamwork, resilience, and a strong sense of responsibility among the participating cadets.
The school extends its sincere gratitude to the Principal and the Management for their constant support and encouragement, which ensured the successful participation of the school’s NCC cadets and contributed to the overall success of the camp.
