Vanamahotsava Celebration – Pre-Primary Section
Vanamahotsava, meaning "Festival of Trees," is celebrated every year during the first week of July across India to encourage tree plantation and spread awareness about the importance of protecting our environment.
The Pre-Primary section enthusiastically celebrated Vanamahotsava through a variety of interactive and hands-on activities designed to nurture environmental awareness among our young learners.
The celebration began with a colouring activity, where children creatively expressed their love for nature. A classroom plantation demonstration was conducted, allowing the little ones to learn the step-by-step process of planting saplings.
Prep-ll students were taken to the playground, where they enthusiastically participated in a plantation activity by planting saplings. Teachers explained the significance of Vanamahotsava, the benefits of trees, and the importance of preserving nature for future generations.
To conclude the activity, the children confidently shared a few simple sentences about Vanamahotsava, expressing what they had learned about caring for trees and the environment.
The activity was an enriching experience that combined creativity, practical learning, and environmental awareness, inspiring our little learners to become responsible custodians of nature and work towards a greener tomorrow.
