Gita Jayanti Celebration

The Pre-Primary Section of Vidyodaya Public School, Udupi, celebrated Gita Jayanti with devotion and enthusiasm on Monday, 01/12/2025. The day marks the birth of the sacred Bhagavad Gita, which imparts valuable lessons on righteousness, duty, and selfless action.

 Gita Jayanti was celebrated with the guidance and encouragement of the School Principal, Smt. Anitha P. Raj.

The programme began with the lighting of the lamp by the Pre-Primary Coordinator, Smt. Latha R. Nayak, along with all the Pre-Primary teachers. This was followed by a brief introduction by the Coordinator Smt. Latha R.anayak, on the significance of Gita Jayanti and the importance of the Bhagavad Gita in guiding one’s life.

The children chanted selected shlokas from the Gita with devotion and clarity. The students of LKG beautifully represented Lord Krishna and Arjuna, seated in a chariot, depicting the divine moment of the “Vishwaroopa Darshan” shown to Arjuna by Lord Krishna. This scene became a spiritual and impactful highlight of the celebration.

The celebration helped children understand the values of honesty, duty, discipline, and righteous living. It was a spiritually enriching and memorable day for both teachers and students.
