The Pre-Primary Section of Vidyodaya Public School, Udupi, celebrated Children’s Day with great joy and enthusiasm on Friday, 14th November.
Teachers explained to the children the importance of the day and why we celebrate Children’s Day — the birthday of our first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Children came dressed in colourful attire, adding brightness and cheer to the celebration.
Various fun games were conducted for the students:
Sri Krishna Shishumandira (Nursery): Book Balancing
LKG: Musical Chair and Hula Hoop Ball Chase
UKG: Passing the Ball and Lucky Child
Children actively participated in all the activities and thoroughly enjoyed the event. Winners were awarded with attractive prizes.
As a class activity, children were given colouring worksheets. Teachers also prepared handmade greeting cards and stick puppets for the children. In addition, all the kids received a pencil and chikki (groundnut burfi) as a small token of love.
The celebration created a joyful and memorable experience for all the little ones.
