Vidyodaya NCC Cadets Participate in "Nasha Mukth Bharath" Walkathon

Brahmavar, June 7, 2026

The NCC Sub-Unit of Vidyodaya actively participated in the "Nasha Mukth Bharath" (Drug-Free India) Walkathon organized at Brahmavar by Janaseva Trust in collaboration with the 6 Karnataka Naval Unit NCC, Udupi. The programme aimed to create awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote a healthy and responsible lifestyle.

40 NCC cadets from Vidyodaya took part in the walkathon with great enthusiasm, carrying awareness placards and spreading the message of a drug-free society.

The programme was graced by Captain Brijesh Chowta, Member of Parliament and former Indian Army Officer, as the Chief Guest. Four MLAs from Udupi District also participated, expressing their support for the anti-drug campaign.

The walkathon witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 3,000 people, including students, NCC cadets, youth organizations, and members of the public, making it a major awareness initiative in the region.

The event concluded successfully with appreciation for the discipline and dedication displayed by the NCC cadets. The Vidyodaya cadets played an active role in spreading awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
