Orientation Programmes for Parents of Pre-Primary students for the Academic Year 2026–27 in the School Auditorium at 9:30 a.m; for Sri Krishna Shishumandira was held on 03-06-2026, followed by Prep I on 04-06-2026 and Prep II on 05-06-2026. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from parents, reflecting their keen interest in their children's educational journey.


The programme commenced with prayers seeking the blessings of Prathah Smaraneeya Sri Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Pejawara Adhokshaja Matha and His Divine Holiness Sri Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji of Pejawara Adhokshaja Matha, Udupi. The prayer group then led the gathering in a soulful prayer, creating a serene and positive atmosphere.


The gathering was warmly welcomed by the teachers, who highlighted the importance of a strong partnership between the school and parents in nurturing young learners.


Smt. Anitha P. Raj, Principal, addressed the gathering and shared her vision for the holistic development of children. She emphasized the importance of parents and teachers working together to provide a nurturing and enriching learning environment. During her address, she spoke extensively about the adverse effects of excessive mobile phone usage on young children and encouraged parents to promote meaningful interactions, outdoor play, reading habits, and quality family time. She also shared valuable parenting tips on fostering discipline, positive behaviour, emotional well-being, and healthy routines at home.


The session was further enriched by Smt. Latha R. Nayak, Pre-Primary Coordinator, who give a brief introduction about the history of Vidyodaya. She explained the school's rules, regulations, and various procedures to help parents understand the functioning of the institution and ensure a smooth transition for the children.


Subsequently, the teachers continued the presentation, providing detailed information about the curriculum, co-curricular activities, daily routines, school activities, communication channels, assessment methods, and other important aspects of the school and the academic year.


The programme also featured an insightful session by Smt. Hamsi Kirti, Child Counsellor of Vidyodaya Public School, who shared valuable guidance on child development, positive parenting practices, and ways to support children emotionally and academically during their early years of schooling.


An interactive session was conducted towards the end of the programme, during which parents actively participated by raising queries and seeking clarifications regarding various aspects of school life.


The Orientation Programme served as an excellent platform for fostering mutual understanding and cooperation between parents and the school. It helped parents gain a clear understanding of the school's expectations, educational approach, and the various opportunities available for their children's growth and development.


The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks proposed by the teachers, expressing gratitude. Parents expressed their appreciation for the informative and well-organized session, marking a positive beginning to the Academic Year 2026–27.
