Republic Day Celebration at Vidyodaya Group of Institutions


The Republic Day Celebration was solemnly and enthusiastically observed at Vidyodaya Group of Institutions, Udupi, on 26th January 2026 at 9:00 a.m. The programme was organised to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India and to instil a sense of patriotism among the students.


The programme was graced by the esteemed presence of the Chief Guest, Major G. Balakrishna Shetty, Retired Principal, B. D. Shetty College of Business Management, Mabukala, along with Sri N. Nagaraj Ballal, President, Sri K. Ganesh Rao, Secretary, Mrs Anitha P. Raj, Principal of Vidyodaya Public School, and Mrs Sandhya Karnad, Headmistress of Shri Anantheshwara English Medium High School.


The programme commenced with the arrival of the dignitaries, followed by a prayer rendered by the students of Shri Anantheshwara English Medium High School, invoking divine blessings for the nation.


Miss Vishaka Goankar of Vidyodaya Public School extended a warm welcome and introduced the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest was then respectfully escorted to the flag post by Cadet Udith T. S. The National Flag was unfurled by Major G. Balakrishna Shetty, followed by the National Anthem sung by the students of Vidyodaya Public School.


A melodious Flag Song was presented by the students of Shri Anantheshwara English Medium High School. This was followed by a well-disciplined and impressive March Past led by Udith T. S. and Yashaswini which reflected unity, discipline, and patriotic spirit. The programme was further enriched by a melodious performance by the School Band Set, which added grandeur and patriotic fervour to the celebration.


The programme continued with students’ speeches delivered by Miss Sanvi Prabhu from Vidyodaya Public School and Miss Gouthami from Shri Anantheshwara English Medium High School. This was followed by an inspiring address by the Chief Guest, in which he highlighted the importance of the Constitution, discipline, and the role of students in nation-building.


The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Miss Ananya Prabhu of Shri Anantheshwara English Medium High School. The entire programme was efficiently compered by Miss Yuktha Bhat, Assistant Head Girl, Vidyodaya Public School.


As a mark of respect and gratitude, a memento was presented to the Chief Guest. The celebration concluded on a patriotic note, leaving everyone inspired with a deep sense of national pride and unity.
