Orientation Programme for Grade IX and X Parents
An Orientation Programme for the parents of Grade IX and Grade X was conducted on May 27, 2026, at the AV Hall in the school premises. The programme commenced with a prayer song, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
The session aimed at familiarizing parents with the school’s functioning, academic expectations, and student welfare initiatives. The class teachers provided a detailed overview of the school rules and regulations, facilities available on campus, academic calendar including examination schedules and important dates, introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI), as well as the various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities offered to students.
The Master of Ceremonies for the Grade IX Orientation Programme was Smt. Namratha N. Pai, who also explained the school examination schedule. Smt. Vinutha K. gave an overview of the school infrastructure, introduced the faculty members, and highlighted the ICSE rules and regulations. The co-curricular activities offered by the school were presented by Smt.Savitha and Smt.Anitha.The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Smt. Anitha.
The Co-ordinator, Smt. Saku, emphasized the importance of staying focused on academics and personal growth while minimizing excessive screen time among students. Her address highlighted the need for discipline, time management, and balanced use of technology.
The programme for Grade X was compered by Smt. Vinutha Bhat. An explanation of the school infrastructure and faculty was given by Smt. Vidya Jaimini, while the rules and regulations were explained by the Co-ordinator, Smt.Saku. The welcome address and presentation on co-curricular activities were delivered by Smt. Ranjeetha Shetty along with Smt.Geethanjali. The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Smt. Harini.
This was followed by an insightful session on mental well-being by the school counsellor, Smt. Hamsi Keerti, who spoke about screen addiction, cyber bullying, and the crucial role of parents and teachers in monitoring and guiding students in today’s digital age. Her talk created awareness about the emotional and social challenges faced by adolescents and stressed the importance of healthy communication and supervision.
The Principal, Smt. Anitha P. Raj, then addressed the gathering with an inspiring message. She described children as valuable assets to the school and reassured parents about the care, support, and guidance provided by the teachers. She also reiterated the importance of reducing screen time and encouraging students to engage in productive and meaningful activities.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks, followed by light refreshments for the parents and staff members.
