International Yoga Day Celebration at Vidyodaya Public School


On 20th June 2026, Vidyodaya Public School celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and spirit. A special yoga session was organized at 9:10 a.m., bringing together students from Classes I to X for a rejuvenating and enriching experience.


The programme commenced with a soulful prayer, creating a calm and positive atmosphere. This was followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, graciously officiated by distinguished guests from Patanjali, Mrs. Vedavati and Mrs. Shobha Shetty, along with the Principal, Mrs. Anitha P. Raj, and the Coordinators.


The Patanjali team conducted an engaging yoga session, guiding students through various yoga asanas with expert instruction and individual attention. Their valuable guidance helped students understand the importance of correct posture, breathing techniques, concentration, and relaxation. To ensure effective participation, batch-wise sessions were conducted, enabling students from different age groups to learn and practise yoga according to their abilities.


Students from Classes I to IX participated enthusiastically, performing a variety of yoga postures and gaining awareness about the physical and mental benefits of yoga.


The highlight of the event for the Class X students was a special yoga session led by the School Joint Secretary, Mrs. Roopa Ballal. She guided the students through various yoga asanas and Surya Namaskara, emphasizing the importance of yoga in improving concentration, reducing stress, and enhancing mental clarity.
