The Aksharabhyasa Ceremony for the students of Prep-I was conducted with great devotion and enthusiasm on 19 June 2026. The programme marked the auspicious initiation of young learners into the world of education and knowledge.
The event commenced with a soulful prayer rendered by the Prep-I students, creating a serene and spiritual atmosphere. Mrs. Latha R. Nayak, Pre-Primary Coordinator, warmly welcomed the gathering.
The programme was formally inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp and floral offerings by the Principal Mrs. Anitha P. Raj. In her address, she highlighted the significance of Aksharabhyasa and its role in laying a strong educational foundation for young learners.
The sacred Aksharabhyasa rituals were conducted by Sri Ganesh Somayaji, Sanskrit Teacher, who guided the parents through the traditional steps of the ceremony. Following his instructions, parents helped their children write “Om” on a plate filled with rice using an Arasina Kombu (turmeric stick), symbolising the child's initiation into the world of learning.
