Session 1

An orientation programme on the foundational course for JEE and NEET was held on 19th June 2025 at Vidyodaya Public School for Class X students. The session aimed to provide students with clarity on academic choices and preparation strategies for competitive exams.

The event commenced with a welcome address and introduction of guests by Smt. Saku, High School Coordinator. Smt. Anitha P. Raj, Principal of the school, outlined the objective of the programme – to guide students in laying the groundwork for a successful academic future.

The Chief Guest, Dr. Raviprakash Y., Associate Director – Academics, MIT Manipal, and Professor, Department of Physics, addressed the students on the topic "Pathway to an Excellent Career." He highlighted the need for clarity in choosing a career path, the role of resilience and perseverance, and the wide career options available in medical, engineering, science, and art streams. He introduced students to emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Edge Computing, and Quantum Computing, and also discussed the scope of education abroad and the related entrance examinations. He recommended motivational reading to help students stay focused and inspired.

Shri Sandeep Shenoy followed, stressing the importance of starting early to prepare effectively for competitive exams. He offered practical advice and strategies to help students build a strong foundation.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Smt. Shubha, Middle School Coordinator. The session was engaging and informative, leaving students motivated to begin their academic journey with purpose and clarity.

Class: IX 

Session II – Orientation on Foundation Courses

The session began with a welcome address by the High School Co-ordinator, Smt.Saku who warmly greeted the gathering and set the tone for the programme.

Smt. Anitha P. Raj, Principal of Vidyodaya Public School, spoke about the importance of foundational courses in helping students crack competitive exams like JEE, NEET, and CET. She highlighted the planned schedule and academic support being introduced to guide students step-by-step through focused preparation.

Shri. Sandeep Shenoy, Lecturer in Physics, gave an insightful presentation on various competitive exams, their marking schemes, and preparation techniques. He stressed on the use of smart strategies and shortcuts to manage time efficiently during exams.

Shri. Sandeep Kumar, Principal of Vidyodaya PU College, emphasized the value of clarity in goal-setting and consistent hard work. He concluded his talk with the powerful quote: 

"When you hear, you get information; when you ask, you get knowledge."

Smt. Ranjana K, Vice Principal of Vidyodaya Public School, was also present for the session.

The session saw active participation from parents, and concluded with an interactive Q&A session.

The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Smt. Shubha, Middle School Co-ordinator, who expressed gratitude to the guests, parents, and participants for making the session meaningful.
