Kalarava 2026, the annual cultural fest of Vidyodaya Public School, Udupi, was conducted with great enthusiasm and splendour on 31 January 2026 at Vishwesha Theertha Ranga Mandira. The programme provided a vibrant platform for students to showcase their talents, creativity, and cultural heritage.


The programme commenced with a prayer, invoking divine blessings, followed by a welcome address. A special felicitation ceremony was organised to honour all the outsource teachers in recognition of their dedicated service and valuable contribution to the institution.


One of the major highlights of the event was the drama titled “ಅಳಿಲು ಮರಿಯ ಹೊರಳು ಸೇವೆ”, which conveyed a meaningful message and received wide appreciation from the audience. This was followed by a variety of cultural and co-curricular performances including a welcome classical dance by senior studentsfolk dance (Veeragase)skating, and a melodious keyboard performance.


Students also demonstrated their academic and skill-based excellence through abacusRubik’s Cube, and Vedic Maths presentations. The audience were enthralled by the junior and senior classical music performances, the energetic karate display, and the graceful classical dance by junior students.


The traditional art form Yakshagana – Balagopala added a rich cultural flavour to the programme, while the event concluded on a high note with an impressive performance by the school band, leaving the audience thoroughly entertained.


The entire programme was well-organised. Kalarava 2026 stood as a true celebration of talent, discipline, and teamwork, making it a memorable event.
