Vidyodaya Public School observed Gita Jayanthi with great devotion and spiritual fervour on 23rd December 2025, commemorating the divine teachings of the Bhagavad Gita.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome to all the gathering, followed by the lighting of the lamp by the respected Principal, invoking divine blessings and marking an auspicious beginning to the celebration.


The core of the programme was the chanting of selected chapters of the Bhagavad Gita by students of various classes, reflecting discipline, devotion, and reverence towards the sacred scripture:

  • Classes I & II chanted Chapter 1

  • Classes III & IV chanted Chapter 16

  • Class V chanted Chapter 9

  • Class VI chanted Chapter 11

  • Class VII chanted Chapter 5

  • Class VIII chanted Chapter 18

  • Teachers collectively chanted Chapter 15


The chanting created a serene and spiritually uplifting atmosphere, filling the campus with positive vibrations.


The programme was further enriched by a Yakshagana Talamaddale, which beautifully conveyed the philosophical essence of the Gita through traditional art. This was followed by a thought-provoking skit on “Geeta Mahatva”, highlighting the timeless relevance of the Bhagavad Gita in guiding human life.


An engaging Antyakshari based on Bhagavad Gita shlokas added an interactive element to the celebration, encouraging students to recall and recite shlokas with enthusiasm and confidence.
