Annual Sports Meet 2025

The Annual Sports Meet of Vidyodaya Group of Institutions was held on 4 December 2025 at 8:45 a.m. The programme began with the arrival of the Chief Guest, Shri Hariprasad Rai, President of the Udupi District Athletic Association, accompanied by Honourable Treasurer Sri U. Padmaraj Acharya, and the Heads of Vidyodaya Group of Institutions – Mr. Sandeep Kumar, Principal, Vidyodaya Pre-University College; Mrs. Ranjana K., Vice Principal, Vidyodaya Pre-University College; Mrs. Anitha Prabhat Raj, Principal Vidyodaya Public School, Mrs. Sandhya Karnad, Headmistress, Shri Anantheshwara English Medium High School; and Mrs. B. G. Shashirekha, Headmistress, Shri Anantheshwara Higher Primary School.

The event commenced with a vibrant march-past by the students, followed by an invocation presented by Shri Anantheshwara English Medium High School. Miss Srishti Venugopal extended a warm welcome to the gathering. The Chief Guest then hoisted the flag and lit the Sports Jyothi, symbolising the spirit and enthusiasm of the meet. The oath was administered by Mst. Aprameya Srinivasa Upadhyaya, Sports Minister. A lively Lezim display by the students of Class V, guided by Mr. Vasu, added colour and energy to the programme.

The Sports Meet was formally declared open by the Chief Guest and he was felicitated with a memento in appreciation of his presence. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Miss Sanvi from Shri Anantheshwara Higher Primary School, while Miss Khyathi Bhat, Head Girl of Vidyodaya Public School, efficiently anchored the event. A special note of appreciation was extended to all the Physical Education Teachers of Vidyodaya Group of Institutions for their dedicated efforts.
