The Aati Celebration at Vidyodaya Public School, Udupi was celebrated with great enthusiasm and cultural fervour on 31st July 2026. The event aimed to introduce students to the rich cultural heritage and traditions of Tulunadu. Students from Classes I to V participated actively, and parents were invited to witness and enjoy the celebrations.


The programme commenced with a traditional welcome by the students, followed by vibrant folk songs and dances that beautifully depicted the rural lifestyle and customs associated with the monsoon season, known as Aati. One of the highlights of the celebration was the tasting of traditional Aati delicacies such as Patrode, Patholi, and other traditional dishes lovingly prepared by the parents, adding warmth and authenticity to the event.


The celebration was successfully organized under the guidance and encouragement of the Principal, Smt. Anitha P. Raj, with the wholehearted support of the coordinators and teachers. The teachers played a vital role in training the students, decorating the venue to reflect the spirit of Aati, and explaining the cultural significance and traditions of the festival.
