INS Kadamba Visit 2026
On Saturday, 28th February 2026, the cadets of VIDYODAYA 77 JD Sub Unit had the proud opportunity to visit INS Kadamba, Karwar. The visit was an enriching and memorable experience that strengthened our knowledge and admiration for the Indian Navy.
This year, we were privileged to visit the magnificent aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya. Seeing one of India’s operational aircraft carriers up close was truly inspiring. INS Vikramaditya plays a crucial role in safeguarding the nation’s maritime boundaries and stands as a symbol of India’s naval power and operational excellence.
The contingent consisted of six cadets:
* PO Cadet T. S. Udith
* PO Cadet Yashaswini
* PO Cadet Shrineedhi Sathish
* Leading Cadet Rithvik Dinesh
* Leading Cadet Diya Anand
* Leading Cadet Veeksha Shettigar
We were accompanied by our ANO, Second Officer Sunil.
The journey began early in the morning, filled with excitement and anticipation. Upon reaching the base, we were awestruck by the vastness and disciplined environment of the naval establishment. Boarding INS Vikramaditya was a dream come true for all of us.
The officers on board were highly professional, friendly, and informative. They explained the functioning of the aircraft carrier, its operational capabilities, and the various sections of the ship. Walking along the massive flight deck and observing the advanced systems and compartments gave us a deeper understanding of naval operations.
This visit not only enhanced our knowledge of maritime defence but also instilled in us a greater sense of patriotism, discipline, and respect for the Armed Forces. Every moment spent at the base was educational, inspiring, and unforgettable.
We sincerely express our gratitude to the 6 Kar Naval Unit for organizing this wonderful visit. We are especially thankful to our ANO, Second Officer Sunil, for guiding and accompanying us on this proud and memorable journey. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to our beloved Principal Madam and the school management for giving us this valuable opportunity.
